Como ya sabemos este juego se publicó originalmente en Alemania por Kosmos y después por Simply Fun en los USA - Y está inédito en España.

Tillywig es una entidad con sede en Illinois (USA) que otorga los premios Tillywig Toy & Media Awards dos veces al año, en primavera y en otoño. Las categorías van desde juegos y juguetes, hasta música, libros, páginas webs, DVDs, aplicaciones APP, software o proyectos de salud y confort, a la vez divididas en varias subcategorías. Para optar a los premios los fabricantes deben presentar su poroducto como candidato.

Y así lo habrá hecho Simply Fun porque el juego Grill Party ha obtenido un premio en este otoño en la categoría Brain Child Award (juego cerebral infantil) de los premios Fall 2014 Tillywig (de otoño de 2014).

The ease with which Grill Party can be learned and played gives it broad appeal but also makes going deeper into the thinking aspects of game-play a natural evolution. Players alternate turns in which they 1) swap one of their own Grill Food Pieces with a Grill Food Piece from the Grill or from another player's food supply, and 2) play Grill Food Cards from their hand before replenishing those cards from their own draw pile. Because playing a given card requires that the balance of items on the Grill match the situation depicted on that card (e.g. no fish on the grill, more veggies than fish, etc.), the goal of players' swaps is to set up situations that enable them to play the most cards. This involves making comparisons, understanding inequalities, and trying out scenarios and outcomes in your head before taking action, skills that apply to mathematics, logic, and many other fields of endeavor. All this braniactivity takes place amidst lighthearted, exuberant fun, the sign of a very good game. The first player to play all their Grill Food Cards wins. For 2 to 5 players.
